Samsung's Galaxy A Series's latest smartphone Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018), a South Korean mobile manufacturer, has been launched in September last month. Galaxy A7 (2018) is the first smartphone of the Samsung brand that launches with triple rear camera setup. Samsung also launched the new Galaxy A4 Galaxy A9 (2018) this month. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is the first smartphone that comes with quad-camera setup i.e. four rear cameras. Is Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) a buy or not a deal to buy? Let us know based on specifications and features.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) design

Samsung has shown something new with its A-Series smartphone. The handsets were equipped with metal unibody and IP certification when the curtain was first released from A series. Galaxy A7 (2018), Galaxy A9 (2018) and Galaxy A8 + (2018) are the three panels used on the back panel of the smartphone. When the frame touches the plastic gives it a froth and the frame in the air conditioner room does not cool down. Galaxy A7 (2018) has a 6-inch display that comes with 18.5: 9 aspect ratios. Samsung has named it Infiniti Display, but it does not have a Curved Edge like Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9. The thickness of bezel in the side of the phone is slightly higher. Earpiece, selfie camera, flash, and sensor have got a place on top of the screen. At the bottom of the phone are Micro-USB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and loudspeaker.

According to the price of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018), it was expected that the company will use the USB Type-C port in this smartphone. There is no separate fingerprint sensor for security. On the side of the phone you will see a power button, the company has integrated the fingerprint sensor into it. Apart from the power button on the right side, there is a button for raising and reducing the voice. Similarly, the fingerprint censored copper was found in Samsung Galaxy J6 +. Fingerprint sensor can be used easily if the phone is caught in the right hand. The weight of the phone is 168 grams. Vertical Triple Rear Camera Setup with LED Flash on the back panel will be found. To protect the camera sensor, the mating rim is present in the side. On the glass back panel fingerprints fall easily.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) specification and software

The Galaxy A7 (2018) has a 6-inch Super AMOLED Full HD + display. Viewing angles are quite good, as well as in the outdoors, we have no problem in seeing the display. We did not have any complaints from the display while watching the video. Dolby Atmos support when using loud headphones but not on the loudspeaker. For speed and multitasking, the Galaxy A7 (2018) uses the Exynos 7885 octa-core processor. The phone will be available in two storage variants, 4GB RAM / 64GB storage and another 6 GB RAM / 128GB storage variant.

Both variants come with 3,300 mAh battery, Bluetooth version 5, dual-band WiFi 802.11 AC, GPS, GLONASS support. Instead of NFC support in this smartphone of Samsung brand, the company has given the Samsung Pay Mini feature. Accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and ambient light sensors are part of the phone. Both support sim slot 4G and volt.

Galaxy A7 (2018) Custom Experience based on Android 8.0 Oreo runs on UI. We have a smartphone available for review, running on September 2018 security patches. On the phone, you will already have many apps pre-installed. The setting is a bit different from the app stock Android. We did not have any problem while looking for any feature in the settings, the search button works correctly. The Samsung Virtual Assistant Bixby is present in the smartphone. Like the Galaxy A9 (2018), there will be no separate button for this in the handset. Swipe right on the home screen and you will be able to access the Samsung assistant.

Apps like Google, Microsoft Office App, Amazon, Prime Video, Daily hunt, Samsung Mall, Samsung Max (Data Saving app), Samsung Pay Mini and My Galaxy will pre-install Samsung's popular features such as S Bike Mode, S Power Planning and S Secure will not pre-install already, but you can download these apps from the Google Play store. If you keep watching the display, then Samsung will not let the Smart Stay feature display be switched off. With the help of a palm swipe gesture, you can easily take a screenshot. Like the Dual App in other companies' smartphones, this phone comes with the convenience of Dual Messenger.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) Performance, Battery Life and Camera

The exynos processor, given in the Galaxy A7 (2018), is not a slot in any sense. When navigating to the phone's user interface, the octa-core chipset does not slow down or cause any kind of problem. Speaking of multitasking, we saw many apps open together but the phone did not go slow on any stage. The fingerprint sensor and Face unlock feature work fast. Galaxy A7 (2018) has 1,19,786 points on Antoine Benchmark. On Geekbench scored 1,525 and 4,368 respectively in single-core and multi-core tests. The Galaxy A7 (2018) has rated 29fps in Geekbench T-Rex Test.

Please note that this benchmark score is in the Benchmark range of Motorola One Power, which has a MediaTech Helio P60 Nokia 5.1 Plus ( review ) and Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset. Both of these smartphones are priced at less than Rs 15,000. We found that Xiaomi Mi A2 ( review ) and Poco F1 smartphones have scored more in these tests. The price of both the handsets of the Xiamoi brand is less than the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018).

We played PUBG games, we would advise you to keep the phone on the medium graphics. The phone slowed down while playing the game but the phone starts heating in half an hour. In the HD Video Loop Test, Galaxy A7 (2018) gives back up to 15 hours and 40 minutes. Once the phone was charged, we kept the WhatsApp account active for the whole day, calling, navigation for one hour on Google Maps, gaming etc. even after the battery lasted a full day.

Now talk about the camera. Galaxy A7 (2018) features a 24-megapixel primary sensor with F / 1.7, a 5-megapixel depth sensor with F / 2.2, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with F / 2.4 antique. The Camera app includes features such as Panorama, Pro, Beauty, Live Focus, Slow Motion, AR Emoji, and Hyperloop Mode. There are features such as Bixby Winjin and Quick Share in the viewfinder, with the help of which the camera app can send pictures directly to Facebook and Facebook Messenger. There are also control features for flash, filters and camera switches. Here you will find a button that will help you switch between the primary camera and wide-angle.

The 24-megapixel primary camera takes good pictures in daylight. The 8-megapixel sensor will help you while shooting in the landscape. When shooting on macro mode, the phone focuses quickly on small things, it maintains a difference between background and subject, due to which the photo looks good. Sharpe came in the light of daylight, while there is no more Sharpness in the photo when taking photos inside the house. We are hoping that if the company gives a pixel binning feature in the Galaxy A7 (2018) then it will help in the better picture in low light. Selfie was great, they can be shared on social media apps. Beauty mode remains automatic If you want natural output, you can set it to manual mode. Automated HDR features are also available in the phone for a selfie.

Our decision

Galaxy A7 (2018) is the first Galaxy smartphone that comes with three rear cameras. This sensor will help you get a better picture in different situations. A battery of 3,300 mAh battery has been given to boost the phone. The battery life of the phone is quite good due to the effects processor. The glass back panel gives premium look. We are not much satisfied with the fingerprint sensor present in the side of the phone. The reason behind this is not the speed of the sensor, but the reason behind this is that if the phone is caught in the left hand, there may be some problem in reaching the sensor and using it. Galaxy A7 (2018) is a good phone for Rs 23,990. If you want a powerful processor, then you can buy Poco F1 or Vivo V11 Pro with this price segment in the market.
